Support and Challenge

Our school is a place where everyone is welcome and diversity is valued. Every child is encouraged to grow and develop their unique strengths. We support students with different learning needs, including special educational needs, throughout their school journey. Our lessons are varied, and we provide individual support so that each child can learn in the way that suits them best. By learning together in mixed classes, students experience diversity as something positive, and we create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Our aim is to help every child succeed and confidently overcome challenges.

To ensure that every child receives the support they need, teachers work closely with our support team. We focus in particular on students’ strengths and encourage their development to achieve the best possible growth of skills, both in inclusive classroom settings and in small groups.

Through individualized support measures, our aim is to inspire and sustain a love of learning while teaching effective work habits and learning strategies. This enables students to take responsibility for and manage their own learning. Learning progress is documented through individual support plans and discussed regularly with students and their parents.

For students with specific difficulties in mathematics (dyscalculia), reading and writing (dyslexia), or language development (speech therapy), our team of specialist support teachers provides individualized support.

We see it as our mission to identify outstanding skills and learning needs in students and provide individual support. The mentoring program offers gifted students the opportunity to systematically develop their learning, work, and communication methods, as well as to strengthen their Independent learning skills to master complex tasks independently. Furthermore, social and organizational skills are also emphasized during preparation.

The diversity of languages and cultures enriches our school life. We are committed to strengthening our students’ language skills, including German as a foreign or second language (DaF/DaZ). Our goal is to break down language barriers and create an inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.

A team of specialized teachers supports our subject teachers both in an advisory capacity and through inclusive participation in subject lessons or by supporting students in linguistically homogeneous small groups. Through this targeted language support, we aim to ensure that all students develop the necessary language skills to actively participate successfully in school life.

In the core subjects of mathematics, German, English, and French, we offer subject support in small groups based on recommendations by the teachers. This individualized support enables students to improve their skills in these subjects and reach their full potential. Our subject teachers are all dedicated and motivated to help students continuously improve their performance. Through this individualized, specialized support, we aim to ensure that all our students receive the best possible assistence to achieve academic success.

At our school, we place great value on a positive social environment in which all students feel comfortable and can thrive. Through targeted social-pedagogical measures, our experienced social worker supports students in developing social skills, resolving conflicts constructively, and actively contributing to the school community.

Our social worker offers guidance and support to students, parents, and teachers and provides social skills training across different age groups. Through individual counseling, students are encouraged to reflect on their behaviour, develop their own solutions, and acquire important life skills. He/she also serves as a point of contact in cases of classroom disruptions or Conflict and helps to identify effective strategies for resolution. In addition, he/she organizes preventive measures against bullying and is responsible for implementing programmes that strengthen class cohesion, such as class council sessions. As a result, our school fosters an atmosphere in which every student feels valued and accepted, and where respectful interaction is actively practiced.
