“Learning together today for the world of tomorrow” has been the guiding principle of life and learning at the German School Seoul International (DSSI) for more than 50 years. As the only officially recognized German School Abroad (Deutsche Auslandsschule, DAS) on the Korean Peninsula, DSSI has been a place of learning and intercultural exchange for people from diverse backgrounds and cultures since 1976.

Excellence and Quality Assurance
The Federal Republic of Germany supports our school through the placement of qualified teachers and financial assistance. We are regularly monitored and supported by the Central Agency for German Schools Abroad (ZfA) and representatives of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (in German: Kultusministerkonferenz – KMK). Most recently, in spring 2024, DSSI was once again awarded the quality seal “Excellent German School Abroad”, with our teaching quality receiving the highest ratings.
