Welcome to the Cafeteria

MAXIMUM CATERING – The operator of the DSSI cafeteria introduces himself.

Dear parents and students,

The German School Seoul International has a cafeteria that serves food and drinks continuously from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on school days. There is a daily special for our students, teachers, and staff, as well as a vegetarian alternative.

During the day, a wide selection of freshly made sandwiches, homemade baked goods, and snacks is available.

The menu is varied and includes both German home cooking and Korean and international cuisine. Whether it’s chicken fricassee, spaghetti Bolognese, bibimbap with lots of vegetables, or hamburgers with fries, all ingredients are freshly sourced at the market and prepared directly in the school’s own kitchen.

We are always available to answer any questions or suggestions you may have.

Maximilian Strauch - Chef & Co-FounderWith over 20 years of experience in international kitchen and restaurant management (Singapore, Germany, and Australia), he brings extensive expertise to the table. He completed his chef training in Hamburg after spending much of his childhood in Asia.

Magnus Scherr - Chef & Co-FounderGrowing up in Munich, he has more than 20 years of experience managing restaurants and hotel kitchens in Southeast Asia and Australia. In 2013, he successfully completed his advanced training as a master chef at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hessen.

Seyon Han - ManagerTrained in Germany and Korea, she has experience in catering and event management and marketing. She uses her multilingual skills to address the concerns of students and parents, optimize processes, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
